The deposition is the most important thing a person will do in their Florida personal injury or medical malpractice case. A deposition is a sworn statement under oath. Everything said will be taken down by a court report and it may also be video taped. The deposition has three primary purposes: (1) to determine what type of witness the person makes; (2) locks down the person’s story under oath; (3) measures the witness’ credibility and pre-existing medical conditions of the injured person.
