One of America’s most iconic structures, the George Washington Bridge (Interstate 95) opened in 1931 and connects Fort Lee, NJ with Upper Manhattan across the Hudson River. The bridge has a main suspension span of 3,500 ft. and its two towers stand 610 ft. tall. The bridge’s two decks carry a total of 14 lanes and it is among the busiest bridges in the world today.
